This is a nice sturdy bench block. Its a bit larger than our 2" bench block and extra thick: a really great solid base for stamping! Steel bench blocks are a great metalworking tool. They are useful for flattening, laying out or chasing metal. Great for a base to stamp metal blanks. These solid steel blocks are constructed of tool steel, ground flat, polished and case-hardened.

Third picture shows the 2 1/2" on top of two other sizes (4" and 6") available.
